Message to Veterinarians Although you treat the pets of people who care deeply about animals, there is a large percentage of our population that has contributed to New Mexico’s reputation for animal neglect and abuse. You and your staff, along with a statewide ad campaign and coordinated educational events can help raise awareness to help combat this growing problem. On behalf of the State of New Mexico and various animal protection organizations and humane societies, thank you for your continued work in support of New Mexico's animals.
